DWTS Throwback: My Favorite Performances of Season 19

If you haven't seen already, I made a list of my favorite performances from season 18 of Dancing With the Stars.

Here are my top 16 favorite performances from season 19 of Dancing With the Stars.

**Note: I do not own any of these YouTube videos, and all credit belongs to the Dancing With the Stars TV show on ABC.**

16. Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas- Viennese Waltz (Week 3)
Although this dance really much of a typical Waltz, it was still sweet. I love how accurate to the movie Up this is, and the flowing movement to it.

15. Lea Thompson and Artem Chigvinstev- Contemporary (Week 4)

This was probably one of the most emotional performances during "Must Memorable Year Night". Lea and Artem told a wonderful story, and it is definitely a memorable dance.

14. Alfonso Riberio and Witney Carson- Salsa (Week 6)

This Salsa has everything. I love the footwork, perfect movements, and overall entertainment of this piece. Alfonso and Witney are a perfect pair together!

13. Team Creepy (Alfonso & Witney, Sadie & Mark, Tommy & Peta, Antonio & Cheryl)- Freestyle (Week 7)

Sure, this dance wasn't very technical, but it is my second favorite team dance of all DWTS history (my favorite was Team Tango from season 14). This was very unique, and the choreography was smart for each couple.

12. Alfonso Riberio and Witney Carson- Jive (Week 11, Night 1)

What ca I say? Alfonso rocked this the first time, and did even better the second time! Alfonso is such a natural mover.

11. Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd- Cha Cha (Week 1)

Throughout season 19, Tommy and Peta never failed to entertain. I love this tribute Cha Cha to Cheech and Chong because it is hilarious and full of subliminal messages. ;)

10. Lea Thompson and Artem Chigvinstev- Argentine Tango (Week 7)

Lea was not in her best emotional state for this Argentine Tango, but she really delivered. The choreography flowed well, which really showcased Lea. If she would have been less tense, this would have gotten perfect tens for sure.

9. Antonio Sabàto, Jr. and Allison Holker- Bollywood (Week 5)

Allison worked a lot better in the Switch-Up challenge than I thought. Although Antonio really couldn't keep up with her, it was still very impressive.

8.Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas- Quickstep (Week 10)

This Quickstep was a great mix between proper Quickstep technique, and Sadie's amazing style. Mark's amazing choreography prevailed once again!

7. Janel Parrish and Valentin Chmerkovskiy- Samba (Week 11, Night 1)

The second time Janel and Val did this Samba, it was a huge improvement. They really did have a lot of passion, which was what Julianne and Pitbull both wanted.

6. Bethany Mota and Derek Hough- Paso Doble (Week 7)

This was the only performance during Halloween Night that really gave me an eerie Halloween feel. This, for me, was the moment that Bethany finally came out of her shell and shined.

5. Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas- Freestyle (Week 11, Night 1)

I am a huge gamer, so I geeked out so much when watching this dance. This is probably my favorite setting and theme to any dance I have ever seen. By the way, Sadie was a great Princess Peach!

4. Bethany Mota, Derek Hough, and and Tony Dovolani- Argentine Tango (Week 9)

I am very conflicted over whether this dance had enough Argentine Tango content in it or not. Well, either way, the concept and the transitions were superb.

3. Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas- Cha Cha (Week 1)

Sadie and Mark had so many great dances together! This proves that Sadie was spectacular from week one. Sadie claims she never had dance training before, but she really seems like a professional in this Cha Cha!

2. Alfonso Riberio, Witney Carson, and Lindsay Arnold- Paso Doble (Week 9)

For season 18, I stated that there were a lot of amazing Argentine Tangos. For season 19, however, I feel as though there were so many amazing trios. Alfonso really showed a different side of him in this Paso Doble. Not to mention, Lindsay showed a new side to her as well.

1. Sadie Robertson, Mark Ballas, and Emma Slater- Foxtrot (Week 9)

I don't care at all that Sadie messed up a little bit at the end of this Foxtrot. This dance was amazing! Mark really showed his creativity (as always) by pulling off what he did. Not only did he have to make a Foxtrot into a trio, but he had to showcase Sadie while having two females on it. This Foxtrot was genius and performed really well.

Honarable Mentions:
  • Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas- Argentine Tango (Week 10)
  • Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas- Samba (Week 4)
  • Alfonso Riberio and Witney Carson- Jazz (Week 4)
  • Janel Parrish and Valentin Chmerkovskiy- Jazz (Week 3)
  • Janel Parrish and Valentin Chmerkovskiy- Freestyle (Week 11, Night 1)
  • Janel Parrish and Valentin Chmerkovskiy- Quickstep (Week 9)

Season 19 had a lot of great performances! What do you think? What are your favorite dances from DWTS 19?
