Hot Topics
Questions and answers about what we think of the show!

Bentley Not too much of a controversial question, but what are your guilty pleasures? Mine is playing The Sims. It’s pretty uncommon for people to play The Sims anymore, but I love it. In fact, I love it so much that I’m an author for a website about it! XD

Julia I had to stop playing Sims since I’d spend days on end playing it and doing little else. :P

Dream I don't really have a guilty pleasure, but I mean, I do love reality shows if that counts!

Julia I feel like almost everything I enjoy could be considered a “guilty pleasure” (especially within the very loose parameters the show used this week :P). I guess collecting Funko Pop figurines is a big one, since some of them have cost a relatively high amount of money for something I don’t do much with.

Bentley I love those figurines! I have a few myself!

Julia Also, I think we should address the elephant in the room: We all know Maks didn’t perform Monday night, and a lot of the more reliable DWTS sources are reporting a feud between he and Vanessa. Apparently, they had an argument during the week that resulted in Maks taking a few days off, including missing Monday’s show. Any thoughts on this and how the rest of the season might go for them?

Bentley Well, if it’s true that Maks just walked out on Vanessa because of an argument or something explosive, that is very unprofessional. Maks is on the show to do a job, and when he doesn’t do that job, it makes me question how “in” this season he really is. I don’t know what happened between Vanessa and Maks, but even if Vanessa did in some way provoke Maks (which I’m leading towards that she didn’t), Maks handled everything completely wrong. I appreciate Maks apologizing on Twitter, but he needed to have worked it out with Vanessa.

And as for the package that made it seem like Alan was working with Vanessa all week, that was very suspicious. I find it kind of odd that sometimes the show creates drama out of nothing, and then some real drama happens that we all know about, but they don’t show it. It just goes to show that production might have a certain narrative they want to push…

Julia I pretty much agree with you. Maks has done things like this relatively often over the years and it might be a lowkey miracle he’s still around. :P I wonder if between this and Nick continuing to struggle they’ll shift the focus away from the married couple rivalry onto someone else, like maybe Victoria or Sasha (if she isn’t eliminated on Monday :P).

Week 3 MVP Picks
Most Valuable Pro

Bentley Lindsay Arnold is the Charleston queen! She redefined what a Charleston looks like when it came to that superhero dance! I loved the two-dimensional, cartoon-y feel of her dance with Jordan, just like if it came out of a comic book! The choreography and the theatrics were incredible!

Dream My Most Valuable Pro for this week is Mark Ballas! He is the king of Jives and created a dynamic routine filled with fun!

Julia I have also chosen Mark Ballas this week! He is doing so well at balancing concept with content this season and has made every routine he and Lindsey have done amazing to watch, especially Monday night’s Jive!

Week 3 Predictions

Bentley By the looks of how this week went, I think Sasha might be the next to go. Her Jazz was very mellow, and the judges’ comments and scores didn’t help her out too much. I think that Nick and Terrell might also be in the danger zone because of the scores and social media reception, but I have a stronger feeling that Sasha just didn’t sell it enough this week to get the votes needed to survive.

Julia I think if it were based on this week alone Sasha might go, but I think her Samba last week might have kept her safe. It seems like a lot of people forgot about Derek on both Latin Night and Guilty Pleasures, so I have a feeling he might be the most at risk on Monday. :(

Dream I feel as though T.O. will be going home this week.

Julia CAN DREAM PLEASE BE RIGHT ON THIS ONE???

Next Week…

Next week is Most Memorable Year Night on Dancing With the Stars, where each celebrity will perform a routine to pay tribute to highlights from their lives, which will be followed by the next elimination of the season!
