Overall Comments on the Finale

@TheBentleyNinja: I appreciate the fact that now I know Charo is a virgin “in the ear”. . . o_O LOL

@TheBentleyNinja: Despite how fun it ended up being the finale of Season 24 was one of the most controversial and divisive weeks I have ever seen on the show. But at the end of the day, it’s just a show. And claiming that someone beating someone else or someone getting certain scores is rigged, while it is a valid theory, I doubt is true. Maybe the judges are whack with their scoring sometimes, but I think we would all be heavily criticized if we were on the judging panel with them. Those judges take a lot of heat, and what they do is very difficult to do live on the air. I might not agree with them, but I respect them. And as for voting, I don’t ever think it is safe to just assume that somebody has a certain number of votes. There is always a hidden vote somewhere, whether we like it or not. I mean, look at the 2016 American election. None of the news outlets (except for maybe LA Times) thought that Donald Trump was going to get nearly enough electoral votes to win, and, well, we all know the rest!

@juliadelbel: The ending of this season played out VERY similarly to Season 12 (which is especially funny since as of Season 24 it now marks the halfway point of the series!) and to be honest, with the way the show is being produced now I never thought we’d see an outcome like that again. Despite the fact that there were several people who were significantly stronger dancers this season than David, I thought it was pretty cool that the voters took him past every single female ringer in the season which probably had the most we’ve ever seen.

@TheBentleyNinja: By the way, did you hear Normani on Good Morning America saying that she’s going on a date with Bonner?! Interesting. . .

@TheBentleyNinja: Oh, and for everybody who twists every single word on this blog, don’t expect to censor myself on here. If you disagree, fine. I encourage it. Just make sure you are able to communicate progressively with us without defaming someone’s character. And newsflash: if you don’t like what is said on here, you don’t have to read it.

MVP (Most Valuable Pro) Pick For Night 2

@TheBentleyNinja: I think after all of those seasons where Val Chmerkovskiy had to choreograph an Argentine Tango/Foxtrot Fusion or some other dance style with the Foxtrot, he has mastered fusing the styles together for a seamless combination of dances. His Fusion dance with Normani showcased her, which demonstrates what the show is all about!

@juliadelbel: Yeah it’s weird that he’s gotten that particular fusion combo so much. (I think he’s only actually had one other-Foxtrot/Paso-and I believe he’s done that one multiple times too!) But I really liked the way Val Chmerkovskiy sewed the two styles together and created a great dance for Normani to end her season on. I think last season was another one where he had this fusion assignment and I mentioned not seeing enough of one of the styles, but this time not only was there a lot of Argentine Tango and Foxtrot content, they were blended together expertly! I think Val thrives when using traditional dance elements and incorporating a lot of specific style content, and this routine was a prime example of that!
